In this tutorial you will learn, how to setup laravel on AWS EC2 server. Follow this step by step process to know the procedure to install and configure laravel on AWS EC2 server. This Process Involves total of 14 steps and all are listed below, in-case you have any question do not hesitate to contact me.
 
1. Build a solution wizard – click ‘Launch a virtual machine’ > ec2 > get started.
 
2. Give a name > select OS > instance type.
 
3. Create key pair and download it to safe place, click on ‘create this instance’.
 
4. Now open terminal and cd into the folder where key is stored.
 
5. Go to created instance and click on it’s security group link > Inbound > Edit > Add your ip with ssh rule.
 
6. Now copy the public_dns of instance, go to terminal and type
 
7. ssh –i keyname ubuntu@public_dns
 
Note: You need to do apt-get update first. For anyone who needs the commands.
Here it goes:
sudo apt-geupdate
sudo apt-get install apache2
sudo service apache2 restart
sudo apt-get install mysql-server
sudo apt-get install php libapache2-mod-php php-mcrypt php-mysql
mysql_secure_installation
then follow the steps to configure MySQL.

8. Create an http rule in security group to ‘anywhere’ for allowing traffic to public ipand you should see a apache welcome page.

9. cd /var/ww/html
 
 And run the following commands

sudo curl -0 https://getcomposer.org/composer.phar
sudo mv composer.phar composer
sudo chmod +x composer
sudmv composer /usr/local/bin
composer (to test)
sudo apt-get install php-mbstring
sudo apt-get install php-xml
sudo apt-get install zip unzip
sudo apt-get install language-pack-en (if came across localeerror) and # add this line – LC_ALL=“en_US.UTF-8” to /etc/environment; then reboot
sudo apt-get install php7.0-zip
sudo composer create-project laravel/laravel blog —prefer-dist

10. Now cd /etc/apache2/sites-available and ls
11. Go to 000-default.conf
12. sudo nano 000-default.conf
13. Add this line right before </VirtualHost> closing tag –
<Directory “/var/www/html”>
Allow Override all
Require all granted
</Directory>
And also set the correct document root in the file
14. Jump back to project directory and run
Sudo chmod 777 -R storage/
Sudo chmod 777 -R bootstrap/
Sudo service apache2 restart
